El Franco Lee Park is recognized as one of the premier youth soccer venues in the greater Houston area. A comprehensive year-round maintenance program of 12 acres of field space includes:
- Fertilization with quick and slow-release fertilizers, liquid and granular as appropriate
- Weed control with pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicides
- Regular off-season repairs include levelling, aeration, seeding, top dressing and rejuvenation of high traffic areas.
- Fire ant and insect control
- Environmentally sensitive irrigation
- Weekly safety inspections of goals, nets, and anchoring systems
